Long-life Switches from C&K Components
In any electronic circuit, switches are often the only mechanical component and, in many cases, they are also the most visible component to a user and the primary indicator of an electronic devices current state.
The problem with mechanical electronic components such as switches is the product lifetime, with mechanical moving parts contributing to a limited product lifetime that is often quoted by manufacturers.
C&K Components aim to overcome this issue with a high quality range of long-life switches which have an operational life of 250,000 cycles, offering a considerably longer mechanical life compared to some competing products.

KSR Series
C&K’s KSR series of tactile switches feature an operational life of up to 200k cycles. Measuring just 6×3.8×1.75mm, these miniature electronic switches take up minimal circuit board space and feature silver or gold plating, G terminations, and rubber actuators. Configured with normally open contacts, the KSR tact switches offer a range of four actuation forces to suit a wide range of potential uses including automotive applications, computer networking, cellular communications equipment and industrial electronics. KMX Series
The KMX series of ultra-low profile SMT top actuated switches allow higher board density for a number of applications including white goods, medical and military telecommunications, for example cell-phone keypads and key fobs. Like the KSR series of electronic switches, they take up minimal circuit board space; measuring just 4.1×4.1×0.58mm.
The KMX series of switches have a sharp tactile feel and an operational life of 250k cycles. Find out more
