OX/OY Series

Ohmite’s OX/OY series of fixed ceramic composition resistors are ideal for circuitry associated with surges, high peak power or high energy, such as high voltage power supplies. This series of axial leaded resistors is capable of 50 and 80 joules, respectively in 19×5.5mm and 22.5×7mm package sizes. The resistor construction is a solid mass, not a deposited film element or wrapped wire.

Conductive particles are evenly distributed throughout the matrix and the joule handling capability of the product remains the same across the resistance range of 3.3Ω to 1MΩ with resistors available in both 1W and 2W varieties.

Based on this type of construction, the resistors are inherently non-inductive since no spiral cutting or wire winding is involved.

Ohmite’s easy-to-use referencing system makes it quick and simple for you to order the resistor that you need.
